  • The program is available for college students, high school juniors & seniors
  • Students can earn up to six undergraduate credits (one for each week of travel).
  • Students can earn up to four graduate ("post-bacc") credits (one for each week of travel).

How to Apply:

Step 1: Visit www.cce.csus.edu/programs/travelstudy.htm for details about the Travel Study Program, and to download all required forms.

Step 2: Print, complete and submit all required forms to:

CSUS College of Continuing Education
Travel Study Division

Sacramento, CA 95819-6103

All forms must be submitted at least six weeks prior to departure. Upon receipt of your forms, a designated faculty sponsor will review your proposal. You will be notified by mail if your program has been accepted for credit.

Step 3: Upon returning from your NETC educational tour, you must submit a completed project to CSU and it must be received by the university within one year of your original registration, in order to receive credit for the program. A project typically consists of a paper at least ten pages in length, as well as a travel journal/scrapbook, brochures or any other materials related to your educational tour.

Once your faculty sponsor receives your project, it will be graded on a credit/no credit basis, and you will receive written confirmation regarding whether or not you have earned your credits(s).

If you have additional questions about the program, you may contact the California State University Program Coordinator, Deborah Hansen at (916) 278-4554 or via email at deborah.hansen@csus.edu.
