This week's tip:

"I plan the trip at least a year ahead of time. That way I give students the gift of TIME to raise money, and students get the maximum discount or incentives offered by NETC. I hold monthly parent informational meetings and don’t sign anyone up who hasn’t come to one of the parent information meetings. That way I know we’re all on the same page. I also meet with students monthly for a year before the trip and require any chaperones coming with us to do at least one of the monthly meetings for students - on art, on history, on literature or any other pertinent subject. That way, there is a sense of preview, and when we’re on tour, students say, “'Oh yeah! Mrs.D told us about that!'"
