Educated Travelers and NETC Tour Consultants Victoria Aviles and Leigh Fitzgerald visited Peru on
NETC's Incan Empire educational tour this summer. Over the next few days they'll share their experiences exploring the amazing sites and discovering all Peru has to offer.

The second day of our educational tour was something Victoria and I were looking forward to, for one seemingly silly reason…another flight! As Tour Consultants having been on educational tours to Europe a few times with NETC, we were extremely curious about what the internal flight would be like. It was really cool to see the shadow of our airplane traverse the Peruvian countryside.
We were all excited to see what the altitude would be like once we landed in Cuzco, and were quickly introduced to it even before exiting the plane! I went to open my water bottle, and since we were now at a much higher altitude, the built up pressure inside caused the cap to pop off and fly across the aisle! Someone quickly yelled, “Champagne!!” Welcome to Cuzco! It was really sweet when the airplane stewardess announced over the intercom, “…and a special welcome to our NETC group from the United States” - a perfect example of the kind hearted nature of the Peruvian people.
