DAY 1-2  FLY TO MADRID.  
Arrive in Spain's vibrant capital. Begin exploring.

DAY 3  MADRID. 
Join a local guide for a view of the Royal Palace and Don Quixote's statue in the Plaza de España, then visit the Plaza Colón. View Las Meninas in the Prado Museum, and learn about Picasso's Guernica in the Reina Sofia Museum. Tonight, Cocina EspañolaCocina Española

DAY 4  TOLEDO-GRANADA.

DAY 5  GRANADA-SEVILLE. 
Explore the last Moorish city to fall to the Christian Reconquista-Granada. Explore the massive Alhambra fortress-palace and the Generalife Gardens with a local guide. Experience flamenco in tonight's ¡Ay Flamenco!¡Ay Flamenco!
Clap! Stomp your feet - now flamenco! Professional dancers teach you the history, rhythms and moves of the gypsy dance that holds a special place in Spanish culture. Later, sit back and admire the pros in a show.


DAY 6  SEVILLE. 
Discover the city of Seville. With a local guide, visit Plaza de España and the Giralda Tower, within the largest Gothic church in the world, then explore the grand Alcázar. If you choose, muster the courage to be a Matador for a DayMatador for a Day
What does it take to be a Matador? Find out! Perform bullfighting customs, wear a red cape and master basic skills as you explore the roots of the matador tradition. Then, enter the ring for a mock bullfight. Ole!

DAY 7  CORDOBA. 
Marvel at the 800 marble columns of the 1,200-year-old Mezquita. Savor the aroma of flower-accented Jewish quarter courtyards in Córdoba with a local guide. Board an overnight train to Barcelona.

DAY 8  BARCELONA. 
The dark Gothic corners and bright flower-lined streets of Barcelona are yours to explore with a local guide. Sightseeing includes Gaudí's unfinished Sagrada Familia cathedral, the Olympic Stadium, and the historic Barri Gòtic. Visit Gaudí's Casa Milà and Parc Güell.

DAY 9  DALI'S HOMETOWN. 
Opt to visit Figueres, Salvador Dalí's hometown, and the Dalí Museum, which presents a multimedia approach to his life and Surrealist art. Discover the Spirit of SpainSpirit of Spain

DAY 10  RETURN JOURNEY TO THE UNITED STATES.

DAY 10-12  PALMA EXTENSION.  
Opt for two nights in Palma. Board a morning flight to the island of Majorca. City sightseeing with a local guide brings you to the Old Town, the Gothic cathedral, and Bellver Castle. Spend Day 11 squishing sand between your toes on one of Palma's pristine beaches. On day 12, return to the United States.
