National Educational Travel Council (NETC) was incorporated in Massachusetts in 1993 and has since organized highly successful educational tours for hundreds of thousands of teachers and students. We are a community of educators, travel experts and international education professionals, committed to providing students with an engaging and enriching, Educational Travel experience that instills a lifelong passion for learning and travel. Educational Integrity
NETC is the only educational travel company to offer the innovative
LEAP! approach to Educational Travel, which was developed with Dr. Barbara LeBlanc, Professor of Drama for Learning, Education, and Ethnology. LEAP incorporates modern teaching theories and strategies being used in the classroom to maximize the learning experiences for students traveling abroad.
Insurance
All participants are covered by ACE American Insurance Company and Worldwide Assist, an international network that provides numerous services, including repatriation, medical referral, medical translation, medical monitoring, and much more.
Worry Free Educational Travel
Security
NETC is a member of OSAC, the U.S. Department of State's Overseas Security Advisory Council. Through this organization we receive non-classified security bulletins to alert us to events that may affect our programs.
Bonding
NETC is approved by, and carries the maximum bond with the Airlines Reporting Corporation and the International Airlines Travel Agent Network (IATAN).
Memberships
NETC is a member of the United States Tour Operators Association. NETC, as an Active Member of USTOA, is required to post $1 Million with USTOA to be used to reimburse, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the USTOA Travelers Assistance Program, the advance payments of NETC customers in the unlikely event of NETC's bankruptcy, insolvency or cessation of business. Further, you should understand that the $1 Million posted by NETC may be sufficient to provide only a partial recovery of the advance payments received by NETC.
