Introduction

Consortium for International Education LLC. and Fawkes Travel Inc. / DBA National Educational Travel Council (collectively, the “Company”) are committed to your privacy. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

Browsing Our Website

When you visit the Company's website, you do so anonymously unless you choose to provide us information about yourself. If you do nothing during your visit but browse through the website, i.e. reading pages, viewing images, or downloading information, certain information about your visit is gathered and stored automatically. Information gathered automatically is used for site management. Our website automatically logs visitor information from which summary statistics are created. We use the summary statistics to help us make our site more useful to visitors, such as assessing what information is of most and least interest to visitors, and for other purposes such as determining the site's technical design specifications and identifying system performance or problem areas. Some of the information automatically collected and stored about your visit may include (1) the Internet domain and Internet Protocol (IP) address from which you access our website, (2) the date and time of your visit, (3) the pages you visit on our site, (4) if you linked to our website from another website, the address of that website, and (5) if you linked to our website from a search website, the address of that website and the search term you used.

We maintain the confidentiality, security, and integrity of personal information that we obtain from our users. We limit collection to only the information required to support customer requests (such as ordering materials) and participate on a Company trip. This information may include, among other things: name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and phone number. When visiting other websites linked from our website, submitting personally identifiable information is subject to that site's privacy policies. This applies to external links from our site. We encourage users to check for privacy policies of any sites that collect personally identifiable information.

Safeguarding Personal Information

All of our employees with access to personal information are screened and trained. We use secure online forms and store all information in protected operating environments inaccessible to the public. There are some things you can do to protect your information as well. For instance, never give out your password, since that is what is used to access all of your account information.

Explicit Collection of Information

For those customers who have registered with us, we do use cookies during your visits to this site so that you do not have to enter your user name and password for every screen. A “cookie” is a text file placed on the hard drive of a computer by some web pages or web servers. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. They are uniquely assigned to a visitor and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie. Visitors can accept cookies or decline them through their browser settings. You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to reject all cookies. You can do this through your Internet browser settings. Users who reject cookies may still use our website, but their use may be limited.

We do reserve the right to share your information with one or more of our subsidiaries or affiliates that may be located in other states or foreign countries.
